| Saint Aloysius Parish Commissions & Administration The Pastor (CONTACT 884-4920)The pastor is responsible for the overall welfare of the parish and is accountable to the bishop. The pastor works collaboratively with various councils and committees to fulfill the mission of the parish. Saint Aloysius Parish Finance Council (Corporation) (CONTACT Frank Healy 884-3728) The parish finance councils, Saint Aloysius Parish Incorporated, serves as an advisory body to the pastor in the administration and stewardship of parish finances, budget, parish facilities and long range financial development. The Parish Pastoral Council (CONTACT Jim Wesley 884-3396) The parish pastoral council is to assist and counsel the pastor in fulfilling the mission of the parish. The council is responsible for seeing the bigger picture and offering the pastor a perspective of the community. The scope of the pastoral council embraces all the pastoral dimensions of the parish. This is a non-profit Catholic Outreach Program whose purpose is to assist others in our coastal communities in meeting their basic needs. This community outreach program is centered around a monthly rummage sale open the last Saturday of the month from January through November from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm with items being sold at a very affordable price and is held at Trinity Hall in Point Arena. The money collected is donated to local community service organizations and community projects. Knights of Columbus (CONTACT Francisco Gonzalez 877-1676) Catholic men's group that assists the parish with various projects and supports community service organizations. Meetings are 1st. & 3rd. Thursday each month at 7:30, Trinity Hall, Point Arena. Bereavement Committee (CONTACT Maureen Healy 785-3177) The Bereavement Committee was created to provide assistance to those desiring a Memorial Mass for a loved one. Loretta Healy and will meet with the family if needed and suggest, as appropriate, scripture readings, offertory procession, etc. For the benefit of participants who are not familiar with the ceremony a pamphlet explaining the rubrics of the Mass is provided. The family will be greeted at the church by a committee member, who is present to provide further assistance as required. Music and help in selecting hymns is available from Cindy and Jim Wesley. Cici Haw and Barbara Barrera have the information regarding places to hold receptions and are willing to help with the arrangements. Initial contact for a Memorial Mass is Fr. SE HABLA ESPANOL 785-1913 Providing masses in Spanish in Point Arena and Gualala for the Hispanic community. Father Michael assists with the mass at Mary Star of the Sea Church in Gualala. INDEPENDENT SERVICE OUTREACH MINISTRY Saint Aloysius Parish Foundation The Saint Aloysius Parish Foundation is a nonprofit, public benefit, corporation established to promote and support long term religious educational and cultural activities of Saint Aloysius Parish. It is independent of the Diocese of Santa Rosa and not included in the Saint Aloysius Parish organizational structure. Funding for the foundation comes from private donations.
